I play many rolls in life as wife of 10 years, mother of four under age 9, a sister and a daughter for almost 30 years. I am enjoying my most recent roll as a blogger. I love to decorate, design, sew, craft and DIY. I'm not afraid to take home and fix something I find on the curb. I love the challenge of creating with a tight budget. Some of my best ideas are made with little or no cost. It’s not that I’m stingy, MY HUSBAND is! :) I couldn't blog or DIY without him. He is the muscle behind the project.
I learned a lot from my parents and I definitely have inherited my mother’s “I can make that” spirit. Growing up I would read my father’s house plan magazines for fun! We spent many nights watching HGTV together and DIY comes naturally for me.
I started my blog as a portfolio for my work 2 years ago when I would sell locally. I posted once and neglected it until recently. In September of 2012 Callie’s Crafts got a makeover and a new purpose. I love sharing my ideas and creations. You will find that almost every post is a tutorial.
