February 2012:
After 9 years of marriage we purchased our 1st bedroom set and mattress. We were using a hand me down but it was damaged during a move.
November 2012:
We were only in our house for 3 months when the master bedroom flooded. I was still experimenting with paint colors. Do you notice the blue wall on the left and the paint samples taped to the wall?

I picked out new curtains and hardware from J.C. Penney's

I painted my ceiling fan blades to match my furniture.
May 2013:
Our bedroom was really coming along but my old bedding wasn't working for me any more. In my mind had several reasons to need new bedding. It was 3 years old, it had stains from the kids, the grey blue color didn't make me happy. Ok, I have to admit I just wanted something new. I wanted a bedroom that feels like a hotel room. I went to Target to look ;) at bedding. I thought I wanted a plain white comforter and a colored blanket to place at the foot of the bed. Well, money talks and I found this 8 pc set on clearance. They only had one left and it was a king. I know it was meant to be. I finally have that hotel look and feel.
After 10 years my husband still loves me enough to buy me flowers.
Wall Color: Whispering Wind by Olympic.
Carpet type and color: Frieze, Breathtaking from Lowe's
Window Treatments: JCP
Bedding: Target
Bedroom Set: Value City Furniture
Mattress: Sears, Sears O Pedic Galileo
It looks great Callie! Don't you just love the never finished rooms, I have a few going at the moment! Gotta love Target, that bed set was great find!
ReplyDeleteThanks, every room in our house is a work in progress.
DeleteLove your makeover! Love that bedding you found. Gotta love Target clearance! :) Everything looks very well put together. Once day I will finish (and start) our master bedroom. lol ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you liked it. I lived in a town for 6 years, where the closest target was 100 miles away. I am enjoying our new town. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteThank you. Finding bedding on sale is a great start. It's been a year in the making and it's still not done. One step at a time. What you don't see is the baby crib on the other wall:)
DeleteSuch a beautiful room. You did a great job. I love your new bedding. Don't you just love it when you find exactly what you are looking for and it is on sale. I always feel like it was meant to be then. Have a great weekend and enjoy your lovely room.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, I love when it's on sale!
DeleteI love the look of your bedroom ceiling. The triangular shape was really ideal for a ceiling fan. It was a great looking fan to begin with, but I absolutely loved how it looked with the rest of your bedroom after painting it. Great job, Callie! Staci Severns
ReplyDeleteThanks, Staci.
